One of the main gang members, formerly from a different pride.
Amefungwa is a laid-back, calm and tomboyish lioness. The best friend of Tamu, Amefungwa is the one friend that is always needed, along with her brother Kutisha. However, one day, a large, brutish rogue lion came along, killing Tamu's father and taking over the pride, causing the three lions to flee in search of a better home.
When the three meet the pride of Pride Rock, Amefungwa becomes instant friends with Fujo, the cousin of Mlinzi. Sensing Mlinzi's crush for Tamu, Amefungwa tries her best to get the two together, and is willing to help Fujo protect them. She's also willing to help Kutisha try to impress Fujo, as he has a crush on Fujo as well.
